Alison gave us a little background info on herself and explained why she would like the treasurer position. She stated she is very ambitious, and is excited about helping Kettle Falls move it Forward.

Vandalism on the Stage:
The vandalism on the stage has been cleaned up. There is still some trash around the stage and a broken light. The mayor stated he would be happy to provide a security light for that area. Perhaps Joe Petricelli could help install it?

Kettle Falls Downtown Association- Main Street Program:

The Main Street Program will be needing Promo. Public Service Annoucement, North Columbia Paper, Radio, and the Statemen Review. Chamber discussed who was signed up on the committee and what was still needed.

The Downtown Association/Main Street program would like ideas on how to raise $500.00 start up money for T-shirts. If you have ideas, please let Carrie Paetsch know or stop by one of the Downtown Association meetings. For more info, you can call the library at 509-738-6817 to see when the next meeting is scheduled.

Events and Entertainment:
We have begun the coupon books for Kettle Falls. If you would like to be included, please email secretary@kfchamber.org or call 509-680-8661.

Sturgeon Capital of The Pacific Northwest:

The mayor had a fabulous idea. Declare Kettle Falls the sturgeon Capital of the Pacific Northwest. We will need to put up a sign across the road on the railroad bridge. Mr. Teller nominated and Mr. Cripps Seconded.

Dinner On The Boulevard:
This event will begin next year so that there is enough time to plan it and get it underway.

Tree Lighting Ceremony:
The Tree lighting Ceremony has been moved from City Hall to the Information Center. Lorilee Nominated and Mr. Teller seconded. We will need to call Woodland Theater to be sure everything is underway for the movie. A new screen is needed. The screen costs $5000.00 but half of the money is already raised. Movie ideas were Polar Express, It’s a Wonderful Life and Christmas Story. We will need to advertise the event both on social media and in the papers and on the radio. Mr. Cripps suggested we do a winter carnival.
****** Any wood workers out there? We need a few polar bears, a sled and reindeer, and candy canes. Lets decorate Happy Dell park to the max and make this North Pole a reality. **********
We will need carol singers on stage, Hot cocoa, and perhaps a few elf’s running around. The tree will be lit at this location. The fire trucks will stop here.  The mayor issued a challenge to the forest service to bring in the tree. The chamber would love to see this event grow and allow a wonderful family winter festival to be enjoyed for years to come.
Lorilee nominated this decision and Mr. Cripps seconded it. (Great Idea, Mr. Mayor!!!!)

Overview of the Park:

Mr. Kulesza brought in a map of the Chewelah park. It was decided that we need to have one for Happy Dell Park so that it can be handed out with the park guidelines.
Lorilee will take the map to the parks board.

New Businesses:
Mr. Kulesza brought up the fact that Kettle Falls does not have a banner to welcome new businesses to the Chamber of Commerce. The mayor suggested that the chamber offer a discount for all new businesses as a gift for joining. The first year is free.On the second year a renewal invoice will be sent.

Meeting adjourned at 8:01 PM

The next scheduled Chamber Board meeting is Thursday June 19th, 7 Pm at the Information Center.
